AFS YOUNG FILMMAKERS 2025
In partnership with New York University Abu Dhabi, we are offering AFS Young Filmmakers Workshop, for high school senior students across Abu Dhabi.
If you are a UAE national, aged between 16 and 18 years old and looking to advance your filmmaking skills, you can join this 3-week workshop, during your summer break from 7 - 25 July 2025.
You’ll learn how to create your own 1-minute film to showcase your talent to your peers. AFS Young Filmmakers Workshop can help you become the next big filmmaker in the UAE.
Program Requirements:
- A letter of interest, explaining why you want to be part of the program. In English, half a page long, font size 12, single space.
- A short story invented by you. In English, one page long, font size 12, single space
- School transcript.

Application and documents must be submitted in English.

Applications must be submitted by 30th April 2025.

Shortlisted candidates must be available to attend a selection workshop on 12th May 2025 (5-7pm).

Training cost is covered by the Creative Media Authority.
